New York-New Jersey Trail Conference Maintains 2,150+ miles of trails from NYC to the Catskills
- Adopt-A-Trail Program: Volunteers regularly check assigned trails for safety and maintenance needs
- Trail Work Trips: Hands-on maintenance including clearing debris, bench cutting, drainage maintenance, and trail marking
- Summit Steward Program: Educate hikers at Catskill peaks (Giant Ledge/Panther, Slide, Blackhead, North Point)
- Hudson Valley Trail Stewards: Volunteer positions at Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve (May-October, minimum 2 hours/month)
- Workshops: Learn trail maintenance, rockwork, and trail design skills

- Park Patrol: Be the "eyes and ears" of Scenic Hudson parks, report trail conditions and hazards

Major Workdays: 6 large-scale events/year for tree planting, pollinator gardens, trail projects, invasive species removal
- Preserve-Specific Projects:
- West Point Foundry Preserve (Cold Spring): Pollinator garden maintenance and invasive species removal
- Esopus Meadows Preserve (Ulster Park): Phenology Trail monitoring (track seasonal plant changes anytime)
- Community Science: Eel monitoring, pollinator surveys, bird surveys, plant surveys, amphibian monitoring
- Corporate/Group Volunteer Days: Customized projects for teams

- Fire Tower Stewards: Staff 6 Catskill fire towers on weekends (Upper Esopus, Hunter, Overlook, Red Hill, Balsam Lake, Mount Tremper)
Leave No Trace education, trail etiquette, visitor safety
- Trail Cleanups: Regular cleanup events at popular destinations
- Invasive Species Projects: Remove invasive plants from preserves
- Visitor Center: Volunteer interpreters for science and cultural information
