The Element of Wood: Children's Shelter Building Class
Description:
In this fun, hands-on class, children will become more confident and proficient shelter-builders while playing games and sharing stories with new friends.
Ever wondered how to build your own hideout in the woods? Participants will learn how to create two different kinds of shelters: one perfect for sunny, warm days and another that keeps them warm when it's chilly outside and can withstand cold winter nights. We'll explore the forest together, finding the best spots and natural materials to build shelters that are strong, comfy, and safe!
Building shelters isn't just about stacking sticks; it's about understanding what materials around us in nature can support us! Children will use their creativity and imagination while learning skills that can be used in the real world, and also make an amazing fort for outdoor play. Between building sessions, we'll play exciting outdoor games and gather around for storytelling time.
By the end of our time together, we hope your children will feel more confident and build their relationship with each other, our instructors/mentors, and the natural world. They'll go home with awesome memories, new skills, and the pride of knowing they can build something amazing with their own two hands!
Changes made:
"become" → "will become" (consistent future tense)
"learn" → "will learn" (consistent future tense)
